An Indiana Pacers basketball player and two women were stabbed outside a nightclub in New York City early Wednesday morning.
According to our sister station WNYW , two of the injured victims have been identified by the NY Daily News as Indiana Pacers star Chris Copeland and his wife.
The incident happened outside 1OAK nightclub in the Chelsea section of Manhattan around 4:00 a.m.
New York media outlets are reporting two Atlanta Hawks players were arrested for preventing New York police from setting up a crime scene. Garin Narain with the Atlanta Hawks issued the following statement to FOX 5 Wednesday morning:
“We are aware of the situation involving Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha this morning. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have further comment at the appropriate time.”
This comes after the team set a single-season franchise high with their 58th win Tuesday night.
